Makes*It and Moss Mountain

Do you live in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virgina or DC?  Close??  Well, I want to MEET YOU!  I also want to invite you to a super fun event where you get to MAKE STUFF and hang out with other creatives that love makin' stuff.  Sounds fun, right??  IT WILL BE!

Here's the deal -- I will be at SWEET CLOVER (facebook here, website here, directions here) on Saturday, May 21st from 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM showing off projects seen in my book, Crafting With Nature, selling and signing books, demonstrating how to work with sometimes finicky coconut oil whips AND I am planning to make a whole bunch of wood coins for you to practise wood burning.  PLUS -- you will have a fantastic excuse to spend hours browsing the amazing vintage pieces at Sweeeeeeeeet Clover!  If you can't make it during the day, then check out Good Day PA on ABC27 Monday afternoon where I will be doing the coconut oil whips demo.

Then....THEN.  You will probably want to go have dinner with your friends and come BACK to Sweet Clover for the official Makes*It event.  Cassie (of Primitive and Proper) and Sarah (of SarahMDorsey Designs) will be there running the show  -- here is all the details:

Sign up HERE -- spots are limited so sign up now!

Hanging out with me in the morning is completely free and sign up free :)

I also wanted to share with you a dream come true for me.
If you are a gardener, you know who P. Allen Smith is in our world.
He is basically our Martha Stewart.  ...and his farm looks like this:

...and I get to go.

I get to GO visit Moss Mountain, meet the sheep and the roses and chat with P. Allen and 20 some-odd garden writers.

Thrilled is an understatement.

He does weddings here -- is it any wonder why??

You are going to have to follow along on instagram because I will be oversharing the #MossMountain beauty madly!!

Speaking of beauty, I want to send you over to Jennifer Carroll's site Celebrating Everyday Life.

She wrote the sweetest review post of Crafting With Nature HERE and you should click through to at LEAST 15 of her articles over there.  Jennifer is the master of beautiful tablescapes and celebrations of yes, EVERYDAY LIFE!  She is an inspiration to me and I count her as a dear friend.  Go say hello!
