Better Homes and Gardens came calling -- and I said YES PLEASE>>>

BIG news today. Bigger than big in my world really.  I am honored to be amidst a veteran Martha Stewart garden expert with a best selling book, a BHG garden writer and blogger, a blogger that has a brand new, fresh-off-the-presses garden magazine and a dude that makes gardening look cool.  Oh, and me.  Crazy company, right?  I am a little intimidated, beyond excited and definitely a wee bit competitive.  Why competitive?  Well, I would like to beat them all out for the chance to partner with Better Homes and Gardens.

It has long been a dream of mine to work with Better Homes and Gardens.
They are one of the absolute top publishers in lifestyle publishing and their editors have chosen me (ME!)
along with four outstanding garden bloggers to compete for the first BHG Blogger's Style Spotters awards.

So here is my "plea" -- why you should vote for me :)

A.  I love gardening, and I want you to love it too.  I have a passion for younger gardeners to discover the joys of digging in dirt and coaxing life out of seeds.  I have always maintained that if you like Pottery Barn and babies, you will like gardening.  I really mean it too.  Though I write full fledged gardening articles for Houzz and Celebrating Everyday Life Magazine, here on the blog I choose to keep my gardening articles a little more casual.  I want to reach the girls who think they can't garden and the ones that are afraid to get dirty.

B.  I talk about the garden, the plants and the flowers, but I don't stop there.  A Nest for All Seasons embraces the garden as a lifestyle, bringing herbs inside to cook with and craft with, sharing photography tips and strategies for capturing the garden AND your kids and designing with leftover bits of wood and such for a penny or two.  That is why my main pages here are simply FOOD, PHOTOGRAPHY, DIY DESIGN and MODERN GARDEN LIVING.  It all connects.

C.  I am hungry.  Not literally, although I can always down a Dr.Pepper or two...but really...I am hungry for this win.  I have been working very hard to make a monster archive of garden articles, serving my time as an underling and I am ready to reach a larger audience.  Can you help me?

If you have enjoyed reading any of the posts here at the Nest, I would truly appreciate your vote!
(You can vote once an hour if you so please!)

I give you my thanks.  a million times over.

No way! CONGRATS!!! I have been reading through your gardening archives for advice this winter, and I am SO excited for spring. You have my vote!

(Also just a random fun fact, my husband works in Hershey - but I didn't find you through that. I found you through the ol' blogosphere and just thought it was a funny coincidence!)
Done my friend!! Good luck!

I voted! You are one of my favorite little "peaces" of the internet. I love reading your blog. Your photography and content soothes my soul. Like a better version of Bob Seger's "Old time Rock and Roll." Forgive me, I've had a couple cocktails tonight, haha!
