It's time for some Halloween party treats that look great and are super tasty!
These are also good recipes as simple cheese straws, and chocolate orange cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

Cheesy Bones

       - 1 pack of puff pastry
       - Mixture of cheddar and Parmesan
       - Egg wash (If making the cupcakes as well, whisk the two eggs together and use the leftover mix for making the cakes)

Roll out your pastry if not ready-rolled to 1/2 cm, and cut the bone shapes out with a knife.

Place them on a flour-dusted baking tray, and glaze the bones with the egg wash.

Sprinkle the grated cheese carefully on top.  (Looking yummy Mia!!!!)

Cook for about 10 minutes, or until you're happy with the colour. I love eating them when they're still warm, so crispy and delicious!

Ghostly Cupcakes

       - 1 medium orange
       - 100g butter, softened
       - 3/4 cup caster sugar
       - 2 eggs
       - 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour (or same quantity of plain with 3 tsp of baking powder)
       - 1/4 cup milk
       - small pack of chocolate chips (optional)

       - 200g full-fat cream cheese
       - icing sugar to taste

Finely grate and juice the orange into a large mixing bowl, then add the eggs, butter and sugar.
Mix with an electric whisk until combined, then add the flour and milk.
Mix again and then stir in the chocolate chips.

Line a muffin tray with cases and evenly pour in the mix.
Cook in the oven for 15 minutes (though mine took about 10 minutes longer until they turned golden, so keep an eye on them!)

When the skewer comes out clean and you're happy with the colour, remove from the tin and set aside on a plate to cool.

Make the frosting by whisking the icing sugar into the cream cheese until you have the right flavor.
Use a palette knife to smooth over the cakes.
