SOOOOO welcome to Tripped UP Thursday. ...and we might as well just get it out of the way up front. My biggest trip up is food. It is often my drug of choice - it is most certainly my comfort. I love food, all kinds of different food from warm hot steaming soups to spicy Indian curries to a good old Chipotle burrito. ...and that is just the savory stuff... It is extremely hard for me to resist a good sweet treat - EXTREMELY hard.
I know a lot of you are with me. The weight loss industry wouldn't be so massive (pun intended) if you weren't. Here is the thing though...it is so hard to fix anything because food is necessary. You can't just stop cold turkey and never touch it again. You still have to eat. You have to eat to stay alive without eating to excess. Oh how I wish I could just stop for good. No eating - just stop cold turkey - literally.
SO you see my dilemma right? Have to eat...love to eat...need to stop eating so much. So when Sensa contacted me about trying their product, I said YES - I will give it a go! Of course, I did so with some skepticism...the "sprinkle diet" has been panned as a psychological trick and many critics say it doesn't work. At this point though, I am willing to try anything!
Well, here I am a few weeks in, sprinkling the "tasteants" on my food, trying out the drinks and "candy" chews and I have to tell you...it works, but it is not working. What???
...but second: It is NOT working. I am not saying goodbye to any weight yet. Well maybe a pound or two, but nothing significant. The fact is - that has very little to do with Sensa. You see, Sensa cannot take care of the emotional cravings for food. It helps a lot with the physical cravings for food, but the emotional ones, I need to work on on my own.
SO - the moral of the story? I am going to keep trucking along with my Sensa tasteants for at least another 4 months. I'm going to try to get my act together with the treadmill and my own emotional eating. ...and we'll see...should we start a pool on how much weight I will lose??
...and what are your questions about Sensa? Do you think it works? Would you like to try the Sensa Weight Loss Program? What do you find most difficult about losing weight??
